Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of resource potential of the North-Caucasian Federal district. The author allocates eight groups of resources, defining the indicators, on the basis of which carries out its assessment. With the help of rating system the author gets points for the selected indicators and is a graphic resource profile of each region on average for the district of values. This allows you to determine: what kinds of its resource potential will be able to participate each subject of the district in the overall Strategy of innovative development.
