Abstract: The article covers economic metaphors in French newspaper articles and their translating peculiarities. Journalists often use metaphors from conceptual field «human organism» in the articles’ headlines or principal text as they help the general reader understand its main idea. We revealed many difficulties in the process of translating economic metaphors, such as specific use of metaphors in newspaper articles, peculiar pictures of the world, particular issues associated with source and target languages.
