Рейтинговая оценка региональных рынков хлеба Украины

Abstract

Subject to analysis has been the dynamics of per capita production and consumption of bread and bread products, regional specifics of bread market in Ukraine, and prices for the products, by regions. It was observed that production and consumption of bread keep dropping, year after year. This is the result of changes in consumption structure, reduction in population numbers, and growth of domestic bread baking. In general, provision of bread products to population exceeds normative level. To create an effective mechanism for managing the market and to provide for making management decisions at all levels, it is proposed to use regional rating values of a selected set of indicators. Rating values are presented for Ukraine's oblasts for the following indicators: per capita production, development rates, and bread prices. It has been observed that Kiev oblast and oblasts of the Southern region lead in aggregate proposal rating values. The proposed methodology may be used efficiently also for making investment decisions.
