Abstract: | The results of foreign trade are very important for the Belarusian economy. Russian Federation and European Union are the main commerce partners of our country. During last ten years the Belarusian trade with Russian Federation is characterized by the export stagnation. The reason is an insufficient growth of the economic potential of Belarus, due to the lack of foreign direct investments from Russia. On the other hand, the trade with European Union reflects an important increase of exports, which unfortunately are mostly formed by oil products. So Belarus is risking becoming a raw materials-producing appendage of the EU. This situation can only be managed by the Belarusian integration with European Union and the income of foreign investments, which will make possible the modernization of its economical structure. |
