Abstract: The article considers the problem of ensuring the budgetary stability of administrative-territorial units with the purpose of increasing their financial stability and independence on the example of administrative-territorial units of the Republic of Belarus. The results of the assessment and recommendations on strengthening the financial base of local budgets are presented.
