Abstract

The objective realities of the modern world are the processes of urbanization and the concentration of cities, which leads to the complexity of urban management. In the 21st century, the urban economy, providing the vital activity of the society, faces various challenges associated with financial deficit, low level of innovation, inflexible forms of management, lack of qualified personnel, etc. In this regard, modern cities need to develop and implement an effective strategy of socio-economic development. This article is devoted to identifying the challenges of the 21st century and the features of strategic urban management in the context of these challenges.
