Abstract: The article deals with the innovative potential of the Republic of Belarus, the main advantages for the development of this potential, and also identified weaknesses that hinder the process of development of innovative capacity and scientific level in the country. The analysis of the current situation were proposed measures to promote the development of interest in science in young people and ways to implement them.
