Résumé: In the article the main directions of the migration policy, the dynamics and structure of migration in the Republic of Belarus, and the analysis of external and internal migration, iden310 tifies possible causes of migration. The study touched upon the notion of the Human Development Index (HDI) as one of the ways to attract migrants from abroad.
