The author has investigated the problem of depopulation using the data from the National Statistics Committee. The experience of developed European countries in taking measures to increase the birthrate was studied. It is proposed that the introduction of parental allowance should be considered, which in the first year should be tied to the wages of a parent taking care of the child, differentiating the duration of parents’ paid maternity leave by reducing it to two years. |
