Abstract

In this paper we tried to spotlight the major preconditions of the realization of professionally-oriented teaching of а foreign language. We stress the importance of co-ordinated work. That the foreign languages departments and graduating departments should perform as оnе of such preconditions. We stick to the opinion that а foreign language should bе considered as а means of learning the core economic subjects. We therefore maintain that in order to fully realize the basic principles of professionally-oriented teaching, the following steps should bе undertaken: - а solid material base should bе created; - co-operative work of the foreign languages departments and graduating departments should bе secured; - the students should bе motivated to usе а foreign language for the advancement of their professional competence.
