Страны Центрально-Восточной Европы в Европейском союзе: состоится ли конвергенция?

Abstract

Исследуются экономический рост в странах Центрально-Восточной Европы – новых членах Европейского союза, влияние на его динамику унаследованного уровня экономического развития и связанных с членством в ЕС изменений в структуре экономики. Рассматриваются положительные и отрицательные экономические последствия евроинтеграции для стран ЦВЕ. Проведенный сравнительный анализ, основывающийся на национальных и международных базах данных, приводит авторов к выводу о том, что ускоренного догоняющего развития новых стран – членов ЕС не наблюдается и при нынешних темпах, факторах и источниках экономического роста в «новой» и «старой» Европе их полная конвергенция в обозримой перспективе маловероятна.

The discusses the economic growth in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe – new EU member states, as well as the impact on its dynamics by the inherited level of economic development and the changes in their economies’ structure related to the membership in the EU. Considered are positive and negative economic consequences of euro-integration for the CEE countries. The comparative analysis based on the national and international data bases makes it possible for the researchers to draw a conclusion that there is no accelerated overtaking development of the new EU member states in place. With the current pace, factors and sources of the economic growth in the «new» and «old» Europe, it is unlikely that there will take place their full convergence in the near future.
