The article examines the influence of flexible human resource management practices on the efficiency of industrial enterprises. Objective – to empirically assess how organizational flexibility, flexible working methods and employee flexibility affect the competitiveness of organizations. Methodology is based on a comparative analysis of two Belarusian industrial enterprises: the private company group «ALUTECH» and the state-owned holding «INTEGRAL». The study uses internal reporting data for 2016–2024, open internet sources, as well as a content analysis of LinkedIn profiles of employees (over 500 profiles per company). Results reveal two models of adaptability. In «ALUTECH», an integrated flexibility model is implemented, where strategic, operational and financial planning form a dynamic system: «business plan – budget – control – adjustment». In «INTEGRAL», a fragmentary model prevails: elements of flexibility exist at the strategic level but are not realized in operational activities, as evidenced by the analysis of personnel policy, age structure and career trajectories. The key barrier to the introduction of flexible practices is institutional and cultural constraints. Conclusion – a differentiated approach is required that takes into account industry specifics and the balance between standardization and adaptability.
