Abstract: This article describes a relational database. The brief theoretical information necessary for a general understanding of this model is given. The main features are identified, the advantages and disadvantages of the relational database are defined. Knowledge of the key characteristics of the relational data model is very significant, since today almost all working databases correspond to this model.
