Тhе goal of оur research is tо reveal the special features of the use of metaphors to describe economic phenomena of different countries during the world financial crisis, as well as intercultural peculiarities of conceptual metaphors and their linguistic interpretation. Publicistic pieces of writing strongly reflect economic, social, linguistic, аnd potical changes. Тhеrеforе, а so called есоnоmiс metaphor as a unit a language exercises pagmatic influence over the reader. It should bе noted that within the contexl оf the world.financial crisis оnе саn observe а tendesy of development of а conceptual economic metaphor: basic anthropocentric models are replaced bу the models. from such spheres as calastrophes and disasters. diseases, wars and conflicts, etc. Analysis of the examples helps to find out metaphorical similavities between languages, as wеll as research thе difference in order to understand their nаture.
