Опыт деятельности Витебской товарной биржи (1912-1927) и его значение

Abstract

Статья посвящена деятельности Витебской товарной биржи в дореволюционный период и во время проведения новой экономической политики. Автор исследует структуру, принципы и направления работы биржи, приводит сведения об оборотах, количестве заключенных сделок, показывает деятельность биржевого комитета во время Первой мировой войны. Отражена роль биржи в становлении местного коммерческого образования, развитии част¬ной торговли и отстаивании интересов местных торговых кругов. Подчеркивается, что исторический опыт работы Витебской товарной биржи может быть применен в современных экономических условиях.

The article focuses on the activities of Vitebsk commodity exchange in the pre-revolutionary period and during the implementation of the New Economic Policy. The author examines the structure, principles and directions of its operation, gives data about its turnover, the number of deals made, describes the activities of the Exchange Committee during World War I. The role of the Exchange in establishing local commercial education, developing private trade and supporting the interests of the local trading community is shown. It is emphasized that historical experience of the Vitebsk Commodity Exchange operation can be applied in current economic conditions.
