Феномен массы: эволюция понятия в истории философской мысли

Abstract

Общество ХХ в. вполне справедливо именуют массовым, и понятие феномена массы как результата ряда процессов прочно заняло свое место в философской мысли. Однако представления о данном феномене как о совокупности идентичных в духовном и интеллектуальном отношении индивидов сложились еще в античности, взгляды на данный феномен менялись в зависимости от социокультурной среды и эпохи. В XXI в. в связи с развитием технологий массу следует понимать не только как некую организацию реально существующих людей, но и как агрегацию виртуальных индивидов, даже если за ними скрываются реально существующие люди. Цель статьи — исследование феномена массы в истории философской мысли и его роли в социальных процессах. Автор использовал аналитический, хронологический, общелогический методы, а также метод диалектики, выделив и обосновав понятие «виртуальной массы» на основании ряда признаков.

The society of the 20th century is quite rightly called mass society, and the concept of the phenomenon of mass as a result of the sequence of processes has firmly taken its place in philosophical thought. However, ideas about this phenomenon as a totality of spiritually and intellectually identical individuals go back to antiquity, and the views on this phenomenon changed depending on the socio-cultural environment and epoch. In the 21st century, as technologies develop, mass is understood not only as a certain organization of really existing people but also as an aggregation of virtual digital individuals, even though there are really existing people behind them. The objective of the article is to explore the phenomenon of mass in the history of philosophical thought and its role in social processes. The author used analytical, chronological, and general logical research methods, as well as the method of dialectics, to identify and substantiate the concept of «virtual mass», based on a number of characteristics.
