dc.description.abstractA general characteristic of the state border of the Republic of Belarus is given as well as of its status as of the date of the USSR’s dissolution. Based on the domestic sources, legislation of the Republic of Belarus and international law, the process of Belarus state border status determination is analyzed as well as its institutionalization in 1990-1995. The conclusions are drawn from the analysis of the Belarusian state activities in the period concerned.-
