Abstract

According to the principles of tourist and recreational geographical demarcation the basis for division of tourist regions is administrative borders. However, this approach does not correspond neither to the criteria of recreational geography nor to the criteria of economic mechanisms of demand and supply. On the other hand, in the core of the geo-economic approach is destination and its performance. Geo-economic systems unite destinations, centers of tourist demand and competitors.
