Раскрыты успехи и возникшие проблемы. Выдвинуты предложения об усилении социальной направленности евразийской интеграции и более широком использовании центрального положения ЕАЭС в географической Евразии, который в обозримом будущем может превратиться в платформу устойчивого взаимодействия государств, национальных сообществ и бизнеса.; The article analyzes characteristics of the economic models of the EAEU countries in the context of their involvement in Eurasian integration. The differences of states’ interests in the integration project are revealed, due to their level of development and economic management, understanding of the tasks of national development and their place in a rapidly changing world. The achievements and challenges encountered are disclosed. Сделан анализ конкурентоспособности отрасли, уровня инновационной активности, рассмотрены направления развития.; An assessment of mechanical engineering contribution to setting up the added value national origin and GDP was carried out using the input-output balance methodology based on the data in the ‘Input – Output’ tables. The structure of demand for mechanical engineering products in the domestic market and the structure of value added have been analyzed. The factors influencing the state of the trade balance are investigated. In this work, an analysis of the competitiveness of the industry was carried out and the level of innovative activity was assessed.
